One of the first shoots to appear on our Church Green – following our planting last year. Hope the early growths don’t get clobbered by natural or human interference ! So we can at least hope that we will see a new display of blooms this Spring. We’ve put some notices up just to alert people to the fact that the plantings are all the middle of the area – it’s safe to walk around the borders of the green without damaging the newcomers. Does this seem trivial, perhaps you ask ? Well, it’s a small thing, but I think we all need to find some optimism in these tragically sad and dark days in the world. Happy Spring, folks.
