I’m entranced by the beauty of such a life-filled bud of a rhododendron. All is birth, all is new, exciting, supple, powerful, perfect in its potential. Miraculously complex, in exactly the right way to ensure a perfect flower when it busts into bloom – a miracle reflecting the birth of the Universe – all futures already written ? Perhaps I am too fanciful – but, in a world seemingly filled with senseless cruelty, stupidity and destruction, I find this bud thrilling and calming. Some day humans will find a way to mirror this perfection in Nature, and equip themselves with leaders with the wisdom and skills to bring harmony and peace to planet Earth.
