In 1999 – Launch of the Freddie Mercury 2nd Class stamp, raising controversy as Queen’s drummer, Roger Taylor, appears in the background, breaking the rule that the only living persons the Royal Mail supposed to depict are members of the Royal Family.

In 2013 – Brian May took part in The National March Against The Badger Cull took place in London starting at Millbank near Tate Britain. Brian May delivered an Anti-Badger Cull petition, signed by over 300,000, to No 10 Downing Street and took part in debate BBC World Service, as well as Sky News covering a Badger March.
