In 1997 – Andrew Cunanan shot Gianni Versace twice in the head killing him on the steps of the designer’s South Beach mansion. Versace designed the costumes for Queen’s “Ballet For Life”.

In 2005 – Queen + Paul Rodgers played Hyde Park, London, UK – performed “Imagine” and “We Are The Champions” both dedicated to victims of the terrorist attacks in London. “Bohemian Rhapsody (Live In Hyde Park)” Queen + Paul Rodgers was released at midnight. Interviewed by Nicky Horne, Capital Gold Radio.

In 2010 – Brian May as Chancellor LJMU presented award of Ambassador Fellowship to Professor Phil Redmond, Huyton-born screenwriter, who created Brookside, Grange Hill and Hollyoaks, together with University Vice Chancellor, Professor Michael Brown, with oration by Professor Frank Sanderson.
In 2011 – Roger Taylor released on YouTube remix of 1994 “Dear Mr Murdoch”.
In 2012 – ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ selected in England as “The Nation’s Favourite Number One single”.

In 2013 – Katy Perry launched in New York City, her Parfum “Killer Queen”, named after the Queen song. In 2014 – The golden statue of Freddie Mercury from Dominion Theatre is sited in the garden of Roger Taylor.
In 2014 – Brian May attended Katy Perry concert, Bell Centre, Montreal, Canada.
In 2014 – “We Will Rock You” North American Tour opened Ahmanson Theatre, Los Angeles – running till 24 August 2014.
