On This Day in Queen History – 2 November

In 1973 – Queen live at the Imperial College, London, UK – sold out and rave reviews – a turning point for the band’s career.
In 1976 – A tape copy made “Take My Breath Away”, the word “You” not noted in title – Wessex Studio, London.
In 1974 – Queen live at the University, Leeds, UK. There was hysteria during the concert and the band had to stop playing while Freddie calmed the audience. Roger injured his foot and aftershow was taken to Leeds Infirmary for an x-ray.
In 1994 – Brian May in Arica, Chile preparing for travel to the Andes starting at midnight to see the solar eclipse.
In 1998 – The Brian May Band played City Hall, Sheffield.

In 2006 – Brian May, Roger Taylor and Ben Elton attended launch We Will Rock You – The Musical, in Zurich.
In 2012 – The last rehearsals: The last test day of Brian May and Kerry Ellis for “The Born Free Tour”.
In 2012 – The book “40 Years Of Queen” re-released as a limited edition with a Purple/Gold slipcase and Purple/Gold spine.

In 2017 – Queen + Adam Lambert played Olympiahalle, Munich, Germany.
