Freddie Mercury is being honoured with an official Blue Plaque.

The prestigious English Heritage sign, which shows buildings where famous people lived or worked, is likely to be placed near his home on Gladstone Avenue where he spent his adult life in the 1960s.
“I can confirm that the English Heritage Blue Plaque Panel has approved an application for a blue plaque to Freddie Mercury. We are now working on getting all the required consents in place.”
