Brian May has revealed he has “massive” respect for his wife Anita Dobson and readily admits they have “massive arguments” because they they “care” about each other so much.

Brian May has revealed Anita Dobson knows how to “press” his buttons and they do have “massive arguments” but always make up.

The 68-year-old rocker – who married his beautiful spouse in 2000 and has been with her since the late 80s – has revealed he has so much respect for his 66-year-old spouse and he believes they only argue because they care so much about their relationship.

Speaking on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (12.11.15), he said: “I have a massive respect for my wife. She’s an extraordinary actress and she’s a lot of other things in the house that I don’t even want to go into … I’m so proud of her … We do have massive arguments. But it’s because we care. And little things and insignificant things can blow up. Your partner knows your buttons to press and I’m not usually quick to blow up but Anita, she can get me.”

And, although they bicker about the “little things”, the former ‘EastEnders’ star – who is a panellist on ‘Loose Women’ – believes their relationship is so strong because they really want to stay together and be a couple.

She said: “I think things only work because you want them to work and want to be with him. So that’s the whole reason we’re still together.”

Brian added: “We were told it would never last. I think people thought we were both too volatile. Freddie (Mercury) said, ‘It’ll never last darling.’

“Even my manager said, ‘Marrying an actress, you must be crazy.’ And somehow we’re still here.”
