– in the first preview of the new Royal Shakespeare Company production of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Anita plays the voluble Mistress Quickly – who could perhaps be regarded as the prototype for Sheridan’s Mrs Malaprop … she confuses her worms …
The production lost a couple of days due to malfunction of some pieces of the set design, but all is apparently now in place, and the first show will be TONIGHT.
Wish I could be there.
