In 2009 – Classic Rock Magazine featured “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” chosen by the 100 greatest living guitarists, Brian May came in for high praise in a piece written about him by Steve Vai. (page 58)

“Lonnie’s Rock Island Line was magic and his influence on me has been huge. For the first years of my guitar playing, I played rhythm and sang, like Lonnie. It was a great grounding and when I later tried to emulate his single-note playing, I was already on the road towards my way of approaching lead work. Lonnie, the inventor of skiffle, was Britain’s first Blues artist. An inspiration.”

In 2017 – Jayce Lewis re-released his “Nemesis” album, where Roger Taylor played drums on ‘Wrath’ track, under his own name as a Special Edition Digipack CD on Universal Music. The album originally released in 2014 under the pseudonym band name “Protafield”.
