On This Day In Queen History – 29 October

In 1978 – Queen played Mid South Coliseum, Memphis, Tennessee, USA.
In 1982 – Queen played Hokkaidoritsu Sangyo Kyoshin Kaijo, Sapporo, Japan.
In 1995 – “Made In Heaven” album and “Champions Of The World” documentary premiered at Hammersmith Apollo, London – attended by Queen Fan Club. Roger Taylor appeared on stage briefly to introduce.

In 1997 – Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon filming video “No-One But You”, Bray Studio, UK. Later Brian was to recall that during a short break in filming, when band discussing takes, a moth was seen to fly around a champagne glass that had been placed on Freddie’s grand piano. Brian had a feeling that Freddie was there somehow.

In 2003 – Brian May guest spot WWRY Musical, Dominion Theatre, London, UK – played Bohemian Rhapsody solo. In an interview with Austrian journalist, Thomas Zeidler, at the Hyatt Hotel Roger mentioned a possible tour with Paul Rodgers for the very first time.
In 2004 – Brian and Roger attended We Will Rock You Musical press conference at the Musical Dome, Cologne, Germany- received Gold Awards – Live At The Bowl first week sales.

In 2005 – Queen + Paul Rodgers played Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan.
In 2007 – (29 & 30) – Queen released Queen Rock Montreal, UK and USA, CD and DVD – the CD with previously lost, unreleased “Flash” and “The Hero” + special 2-Disc DVD “Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid”.

In 2008 – Queen + Paul Rodgers played Belgrade Arena, Belgrade, Serbia. Released for download “I Want It All (Live – 29/10/08”, “Intro + Hammer To Fall (Live – 29/10/08”).
In 2010 – Brian May appeared on BBC Breakfast TV on the subject of the slaughtered Emperor Stag that had hit the headlines.

In 2013 – The Queen Extravaganza played O2 Academy, Bournemouth, UK.
In 2013 – “We Will Rock You” N American Tour opened, Benedum Center, Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
In 2013 – The first five concerts of “Born Free Tour 2014” by Brian May and Kerry Ellis announced.
In 2014 – Brian May and Anita Dobson attended the European premiere of “Interstellar” movie, Odeon, Leicester Square, London.
In 2014 – “Classic Rock” published an interview by Paul Brannigan with Brian May on “One Night In Hell”.
In 2014 – The first copies of “Queen Forever” arrived at Queen Towers.
