“For the last week Andrew Derbyshire has been playing the part of Galileo in WWRY. Andrew is the guy that those idiot “judges” on Pop Idol said would never get anywhere. I’m proud to say he was magnificent, and improving every performance. And the show was greeted with a standing ovation every night (as always). So I guess this says something about Pop Idol? Funny that our show is very much concerned with such things, and seems to be becoming ever more topical!! And funny how so many media people underestimated Ben’s comment by way of the WWRY book, just as they understimated young Andrew. He’s just 19 years old – an amazing achievement to go on in a leading role in a West End musical and succeed!!! Hurrah !!!” Brian May
