On May 11th the MPT launched an appeal to raise funds to help our friends at Prerana in Nepal, a local NGO in the Kathmandu Valley working on education and prevention with youths at risk of HIV & STI. The organisation has been caught up in the aftermath of the earthquakes that had hit the region. Your response to their plight was astonishing and one that we should all feel very proud of. The total amount donated was £5,256.

Warm Greetings from Prerana!
Words are less to express our immense gratitude to the donors who have supported us through online Prerana Appeal. We have endured the harsh reality of Mother Nature and on remembering that day our hearts still tremble. It was a nightmare, yet we have learned more from this terrible experience.
We are grateful that we had support from our longstanding donor the Mercury Phoenix Trust, who stood by us throughout and helped us constantly. As I said earlier, despite being miles and miles apart, the MPT comforted us and caressed our pain jointly and encouraged us to move along.
We are thankful for your efforts through the Prerana Appeal and will assure the use of the collected funds for its intended purpose. We hope for your continue support.
