Aiden Gillan and Tom Hollander join Bohemian Rhapsody cast

Aidan Gillen and Tom Hollander have joined the cast of Bohemian Rhapsody, directed by Bryan Singer, it was announced today by Twentieth Century Fox, New Regency, and GK Films.

Gillen (Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, Maze Runner: The Death Cure) will play John Reid, Queen’s manager from 1975-1978. Hollander (Breathe, The Night Manager, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) will play Jim Beach, Queen’s long-time manager, who took over in 1978.

It was previously announced that:

Rami Malek (Mr. Robot) will portray legendary Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury;
Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse, Mary Shelley, Only the Brave) will play Roger Taylor;
Gwilym Lee (The Hollow Crown, Jamestown, King Lear & Hamlet at the Donmar Warehouse) will play Brian May;
Joe Mazzello (The Social Network, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) will play John Deacon aka ‘Deacy’;
Lucy Boynton (Murder on the Orient Express) will play Mercury’s lifelong companion, Mary Austin;
Allen Leech (Downton Abbey) has also been confirmed as taking the role of Freddie’s ‘personal’ manager, Paul Prenter.

Justin Haythe (Red Sparrow, Revolutionary Road) penned the script with Graham King, Jim Beach, and Bryan Singer producing. Denis O’Sullivan, Arnon Milchan, and Jane Rosenthal are executive producers. Kira Goldberg is overseeing the project for Twentieth Century Fox.

Production is underway. The film is slated for U.S. release on December 25, 2018.
