TRNSMT presents the ultimate festival line-up of 2018 featuring rock
legends Queen + Adam Lambert
One of the biggest rock attractions in the world, Queen + Adam Lambert complete TRNSMT 2018 headliners, joining Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers for 5 days of music this summer.
The ultimate destination for world-class music in Scotland this summer, TRNSMT Festival have announced their final 2018 headliners with the addition of one of the most influential and iconic bands of all time, Queen + Adam Lambert, headlining Friday 6th July at Glasgow Green.
The critically-acclaimed creative partnership has proved to be a global phenomenon, having played over 130 shows in all corners of the world. Filling stadiums and festivals, Queen + Adam Lambert’s awe-inspiring touring show has drawn across-the board rave notices, most recently hailed by the UK’s Daily Telegraph as “one of the most entertaining nights of rock and roll to be seen and heard anywhere.”
Queen + Adam Lambert’s appearance at TRNSMT is the only show the band are to perform in the UK this summer outside of their three earlier sold out London concerts.
The announcement of Friday 6th July’s unmissable line-up confirms TRNSMT 2018’s headliners as Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys, Queen + Adam Lambert, and The Killers with acts such as The Script, Courteeners, Interpol, CHVRCHES, Wolf Alice, Blossoms, and Franz Ferdinand also joining the bill. Tickets for Friday 6th July will go on pre-sale at 9am on Wednesday 7th March from TRNSMTfest.com. Day tickets for Friday 29th June, Saturday 30th June, Friday 6th July and Sunday 8th July are available plus two, three and five day ticket options.
One of the greatest and most influential rock bands of all time, British legends Queen + Adam Lambert will take to the TRNSMT stage on Friday 6th July. Having marked the 40th anniversary of seminal album News of The World in 2017, Queen + Adam Lambert are set to bring an incredible festival atmosphere to Glasgow Green, performing timeless anthems such as ‘Radio Gaga’, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody, ‘Another One Bites the Dust’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘We Are The Champions’ as well as delivering a few surprise Queen classics.
The epitome of rock, and 45 years after the release of their self-titled debut album, Queen with Adam Lambert have stunned audiences around the world with their dazzling live performances. Queen have continually made history throughout their career; their pivotal Live Aid performance in 1985 to a worldwide audience of two billion people is largely recognised as one of the greatest live gigs of all time. Queen + Adam Lambert’s 25-date tour of Europe and the UK in late 2017 unveiled their biggest and most ambitious production yet, custom tailored for the band by some of the world’s most cutting-edge creative talent. “The stage production, theatrics, band performance and audience reaction is probably the best that I have ever had the pleasure to witness,” wrote the Daily Express’ music critic. Recent years have certainly marked a new era for one of the biggest and longest lasting bands of all time.
TRNSMT 2017 brought the perfect mix of international and local talent to Glasgow Green’s stage and media around the world marvelled at the incredible audience, atmosphere and setting of the brand new festival. TRNSMT fans in 2017 were able to experience first-hand Glasgow’s UNESCO City of Music status as captive music audiences gathered to celebrate in a metropolitan setting. 2018’s edition ensures to be a bigger transmission, with the extension to two weekends and the line-up brings icons such as Queen + Adam Lambert alongside some of the brightest stars in the music industry, like Sigrid, Declan McKenna and Lewis Capaldi. A five day line-up bursting with rock, pop and indie vibes makes TRNSMT the ideal destination for festivalgoers this summer.
