Queen’s Brian May stepped on stage with a tribute act for the band at a concert in Gloucester. The 68-year-old guitarist appeared at the GL1 Centre where Roger Taylor’s Queen Extravaganza, Queen’s official tribute show, were appearing. Queen Extravaganza is produced by drummer Roger Taylor to celebrate the band’s music.

The event on Saturday marked 40 years since the release of the band’s album A Night At The Opera.

“It was fantastic. It was especially nice to have him on the 40th anniversary of their album being launched. It made it extra special. He is a really nice chap, a lovely bloke. He hung around and spoke to people and got up on the stage and was clapping and cheering. He is still very passionate about the music.”

After launching the project live on American Idol, the Queen Extravaganza is now a touring concert show.

It ensures the band’s hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio GaGa and We Are the Champions are still played live to fans of the world famous group.
