‘FINE YOUNG MAN” Brian May leads tributes at funeral of boy, 14, found hanged in school toilets by his sister Queen guitarist Brian, 71, today gave an emotional tribute to Bradley John who was found dead at school in Llanelli, South Wales, last month
QUEEN guitarist Brian May today led tributes at the funeral of a bullied teen who was found hanged in school toilets by his sister. Bradley John, 14, was discovered at St John Lloyd Catholic Comprehensive School in Llanelli, South Wales, during lunch break last month.
He had suffered years of playground torment after being diagnosed with ADHD. Rock star Brian and Bradley became friends after the horse-mad youngster’s work pioneering cruelty-free hunting. They had been out “Clean Boot Hunting” and kept in touch to spread the word about the alternative to hounding foxes.
Mr May, 71, said in a touching tribute at Bradley’s funeral today:
“I was in Las Vegas when I heard what happened.
“Bradley was a fine young man — talented in an unorthodox way.
“He had a fantastic life which has ended in such a tragic way. I can’t imagine anything worse.
“I often spoke to Bradley and his father Byron who is at the forefront of Clean Boot Hunting.
“But he was in it together with Bradley who was ready to take on the mantle from his dad.”
