“I’m delighted to announce ‘Bridge from the Future’, a one-off open-air live concert-event for the opening of the Starmus Festival in the centre of Bratislava,” Jean-Michel Jarre wrote on social networks.
He will be joined onstage by his friend Brian May – co-founder of Starmus, a festival bringing together scientists and artists, and founding member of Queen, as well as astrophysicist. This will be for the first time the two musicians perform together.
“I was working with artificial intelligence and I wanted to come up with the idea that it’s not us looking at the universe, but the universe looking at us,” he said in an interview with the Sme daily.
“This will be one of the most ambitious concerts of my life. We have prepared something epic, bold and universal,” said Jarre.
… it is not going to be [a] traditional concert, but music would be at the heart of the show while he attempts to create a visual track of the music.
“It will be not just another concert you can see in a stadium,” he said
Organisers have not published all the concert details yet. What is already known is that the concert will be free to attend while available online. Ticket holders will have privileged access.
