The Save Me Trust is thrilled to announce a brand new collaboration with renowned British artist Chris Klein, celebrated for his extraordinary realist paintings of theatre, fashion, and celebrity costumes. Chris’s latest project features paintings of iconic show costumes from Brian May’s personal collection. Here’s a sneak peek of the first work in progress: the flamboyant angel-winged outfit designed by Dame Zandra Rhodes, famously worn during Queen’s US tour in April 1974. Dame Zandra herself endorses the project and can be seen in the photo here celebrating Chris’s artwork. A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the Save Me Trust, a wildlife sanctuary setup by Sir Brian May and Anne Brummer to protect wildlife.

The trust exists to protect the welfare and dignity of wild animals. Save Me was founded by Brian May and Anne Brummer to work on the issues affecting wildlife today. Climate change, increasing human population, destruction of habitats and pollution are the most significant factors causing the rapid decline of the creatures with whom we share our Planet. By working together and changing our behaviours, we can achieve sustainable change that supports wildlife, business and the environment, and offers every species a better future.

Anne Brummer says:
“I cannot even begin to explain how incredibly talented Chris is. His work absolutely speaks for itself. I am so pleased he has chosen to  support the Trust’s work in this unique way. His paintings come to life with the finest details and vibrant use of a complex palette. I look forward to seeing Brian’s costumes brought to life again on the canvas in this extraordinary way. Chris is talented beyond belief and I am unquestionably a fan.“
