It’s good to read this … brings a lot of stuff back. And I only wish it was a video of Pete Hammerton, rather than text.
The only thing which puzzles me is I never joined a band called Unit 5 – I never played in public until we started with 1984 – the first gig being in Putney Boat House. But the rest of it is as I remember. We certainly used to play most lunch-hours, hiding in the cycle sheds or the library! Woolly (Pete) could always play stuff better than me ! He was a great inspiration.
