Well, here’s a nice article, neatly timed as we head towards Milan. My friend Claudia has pointed out that there has been a bit of a miscommunication somewhere. Apparently they have quoted me as saying something like “Stereograms are nothing but two identical images put side by side” !!! Well, nothing could be further from the truth, of course, so it’s extremely unlikely I would have said this, even in my least lucid moments ! It is the subtle differences between those two images which make the magic of three-dimensional photography happen. So, allowing for difficulties in translation, I hope this doesn’t spoil anyone’s stereoscopic education, or give me a bad name !
But for the rest … thanks La Republica ! and I hope we meet up very soon without mishap in Milan !
