Sad to hear of the death of Water Rat, Kenny Baker. What joy he brought to millions.
In Star Wars he achieved the almost impossible – not just bringing life to a robot with no human features except legs – but actually making the immortal R2D2 adorable – a character who made us all smile a peaceful smile.
My lovely missis worked with Kenny in more than one pantomime – he was a modest and generous performer, and well loved.
Sincere condolences to Kenny’s family and close friends.
