I’d like to draw your attention to the new STARMUS conference which is this week officially announced.
My Dear Friend Garik Israelian, the Eminent Armenian Astronomer, who organised the first one (at which I spoke and also played with Tangerine Dream) has put the second STARMUS plan together.
You don’t have to be an eminent astronomer to attend. Last time the participants were almost ALL the American astronauts from Armstrong and Aldrin onwards … plus Russian Cosmonauts from Alexei Leonov onwards, plus astronomers, SETI researchers (Search for Extra Terrestrial Life), Richard Dawkins, and many other great speakers. But most of the attendees were people who had a passion for astronomy but little or no professional links … and everyone had a great time, learning, mingling, relaxing, and getting a bit of welcome Sun in parts of Tenerife that 99 per cent of tourists never see.
So if Astronomy and Astrophysics AND MUSIC turn you on … have a look … OK ? I will be there !
And some of this year’s contributors will seriously blow your mind !!!
In time for Astofest … Garik and I will be making a presentation there about the event. Saturday just before lunch …
