They won the race to visit the terrain near our Moon’s South Pole. And they took a stereo camera !!! This is the very first stereo they have published – just a couple of hours ago.
My genius colleague Claudia Manzoni has seized the anaglyph they put out and converted it to side-by-side stereo … and together we made some adjustments to make it easier to view. So here it is – in parallel stereo, and then in cross eyed stereo. Then I’ve posted Jamie Cooper’s nice photographic guide to where this is taking place.
Sadly I never got to know the Chadrayaan 3 team, but this shows the Vikram lander vehicle … imaged by the stereo camera in the Pragyan rover. Can’t wait to see more stereos from this mission! Congratulations Chandrayaan Team !!! Enjoy !!!
