The statue in Montreux, Switzerland (sculptor by Irena Sedlecka) was erected as a tribute to Freddie Mercury. It stands almost 10 feet (3 metres) high overlooking Lake Geneva and was unveiled on 25 November 1996 by Freddie’s parents and Montserrat Caballé, with bandmates Brian May and Roger Taylor also in attendance.

In 2010 – The Charity Event “Collars & Coats Gala Ball” takes place in the Battersea Power Station in London in aid of the “150th Anniversary of Battersea Dogs Home”. Queen + Roger Daltrey played together with Spike Edney’s SAS band and Meat Loaf’s Patti Russo.
In 2010 – Brian May auctioned on eBay six WWRY London VIP Box Tickets and a Meet And Greet with himself for an online Christmas Auction from ABC (Action For Brazil’s Children).
In 2011 – The “Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert”, organized by The Official International Queen Fan Club and The Mercury Phoenix Trust, took place at The Clapham Grand Theater, London. Brian May performed with Kerry Ellis and the SAS band ‘No-One But You’, ‘Somebody To Love'” and ‘Tie Your Mother Down’ – then went onto The Darkness concert, Hammersmith Apollo, joining them on ‘Bareback’, ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ and ‘Tie Your Mother Down’.
