The Official International Queen Fan Club is 40 Year Old Today !!

“I have been a member of the Queen Fan Club since its beginnings. It was a link between the fans and the group itself.
Pat and Sue Johnstone were the first Secretaries and did they an incredible job building up the club and making it the information service we fans needed. Therese carried on the good work as did Amanda, Vicky, Fiona and of the course the current longest serving Jacky. Others such as Tommy, Phil, Kipps, Angela, Andy and the lovely Val supported the secretaries and became an important part of the day-to-day running of the club. We’ve had video shoots to attend, picnics, parties, gigs, weekend events and the Fan Club secured front row seats on many a tour! Still do today!
The biggest event in the Fan Club calendar is the annual Convention which attracts fans from all over the world and is a must attend event. There have been organised trips to conventions in other countries and trips to the We Will Rock You Musical and to other events around the world!
The Fan Club should be proud as we have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities. The devotion is incredible and being part of the club is special. It has achieved an entry into the Guinness Book Of Records as the longest running fan club in the entire world! How good is that.
Congratulations to Jacky for continuing the club into the 21st century.
Lets raise a glass or two to the Fan Club and of course to QUEEN. Happy 40th.
