VH1: Queen to release 1974 London gig

|

VH1 CLASSIC ROCK RADIO REPORT:

On March 31st, 1974, Queen performed a landmark show at London’s The Rainbow. The gig took place at the end of their first countrywide tour as headliners. It was recorded to come out as a live album, but the band opted to shelve the set so they could instead work on what would go on to be their 1974 album, Sheer Heart Attack. Well now, 40 years later, the performance is coming out. On September 9th, you can pick up the package, called Queen: Live at the Rainbow ’74, on CD, DVD, Blu-ray, vinyl or digitally as either a standard edition or a deluxe edition with bonus material like a hardback book with rare photos.
