Since first sharing the stage for the final of American Idol in May 2009, Queen + Adam Lambert have been confirmed worldwide as a successful partnership with over 70 sold out shows in every part of the world and a concert audience to date of well over a million people.

These past few weeks have seen the band headline Rock in Rio Lisbon playing to 74,000 people, sell out Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi Olympic arena and headline numerous sold out festivals including the UK’s Isle of Wight Festival, by far one of Britain’s most prestigious and successful music festivals with a heritage of such headliners as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney.

Announcing their Asia tour dates the band said:

Brian May: “What an amazing opportunity, after over 45 years of touring the World, to be breaking new ground in Asia. Queen has found a new energy and life with Adam, and I look forward to seeing happy faces out there”.

Roger Taylor: “I really look forward to bringing Queen to the great cities of Asia”.

Adam Lambert: “I have been lucky enough to visit Asia recently and am so thrilled to be able to return there to perform with Queen. We are going to give you a show to remember”.

Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert first met during American Idol in May 2009, joining the finalists for a performance of “We Are The Champions”. They teamed up again in 2011 at the MTV European Music Awards for an electrifying eight-minute finale, and in the summer of 2012 they performed their first live concerts with appearances across Europe including playing live before half a million people in Kiev.

In March 2014 Queen + Adam Lambert announced a North American Summer tour.  Not only did all 24 dates sell out almost overnight but at the end Queen + Adam Lambert were awarded Band of the Year at the 10th annual Classic Rock Roll of Honour awards and were also voted Best Live Band of the Year in Ultimate Classic Rock’s reader’s poll.

Queen + Adam Lambert topped off 2014 by performing to an audience of over 12 million TV viewers when they performed live for UK BBC Television’s New Year’s Eve spectacular Queen + Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben.  In the subsequent 24 hours ‘Adam Lambert’ was the top of the trending searches on Google in the UK with more than 500,000 searches for his name.

2015 saw Queen + Adam Lambert back touring with 26 sold-out concerts in 10 countries throughout the UK and Europe taking their critically acclaimed show to France, Austria, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Poland.

Just two months ago, May 2016, they returned again to Europe for fifteen shows headlining many of this year’s biggest summer festivals as well as some giant arena concerts.

And now it is confirmed September will see Queen + Adam Lambert head for Asia with their biggest show production to date.

Queen + Adam Lambert’s spectacular 2016 touring show has been tailor crafted for the band by some of the world’s most cutting edge creative talents who between them have provided innovation, design, lighting and special effects to some of the most iconic shows on the planet. Entertainment Architects Stufish Productions, who are responsible for the design and production of the show, are recognised for providing stage and set design for such artists as The Rolling Stones, Madonna, and Pink Floyd as well as being responsible for the production design of such major world events as the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony and Cirque du Soleil. The lighting for the show is designed by Rob Sinclair, one of the most acclaimed artists in his field, whose work has spectacularly lit tours by such major artists as Peter Gabriel, Kylie Minogue, Peter Gabriel and Adele. His design makes use of more than 300 moving lights. Behind the genuinely eye-popping laser show component of Queen + Adam Lambert’s new touring production is laser design specialists ER Productions whose work for the London 2012 Olympics opening and closing ceremonies was seen by over 900 million people worldwide. If any more were effects were needed, the show also makes use of the world’s most powerful low smoke machine, designed originally for the 2014 Winter Olympics, with enough power to fill six full size tennis courts 1 metre deep in smoke within a minute. Queen + Adam Lambert proudly claim this as a unique stage effect as only two such machines exist in the world.

The spectacular touring band also features Rufus Taylor on percussion, Spike Edney on keyboards and Neil Fairclough on bass.

In an incredible career spanning four decades, Queen’s indelible influence is unrivalled, with a staggering list of awards, accolades and honours to their name including seven Ivor Novellos, an MTV Global Icon Award and two songs enshrined in the Grammy Hall of Fame. With record sales in the hundreds of millions of units – including their Greatest Hits collection which sold over 6 million copies in the UK alone, meaning one in three households owning a copy – and a string of No. 1 albums and chart topping singles, Queen are undoubtedly one of the UK’s most successful and best loved national treasures. With one of the most enduring song catalogues of all time, including ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘We Are The Champions’, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ ‘Somebody to Love’, and of course ‘Bohemian Rhapsody, their musical repertoire is second to none and the legacy created by Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon lives on through the ongoing work by May and Taylor, now joined by Adam Lambert.

Adam Lambert’s debut album For Your Entertainment earned him a Grammy Award nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, and a worldwide smash hit with ‘Whataya Want From Me’. His second album, Trespassing, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. In 2013, Adam appeared as a guest star on the hit TV series, GLEE and as as a featured vocalist on Avicii’s album ’True’. Adam released his highly anticipated third album, ‘The Original High’ last summer, which entered the worldwide chart at number 3, and took his overall worldwide sales to over 3 million units. Adam recently completed his worldwide tour In support of the album, and is currently the featured vocalist on DJ Steve Aoki’s new single with Felix Jaehn. He will be appearing in Fox’s remake of ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ which is set for release later this year.
