Rock star Roger Taylor has become Patron of Cornwall Pride, the organisation that celebrates and promotes tolerance and acceptance of the LGBT community in the county.

The Queen drummer, who was brought up in Truro, attended Truro School and had his first taste of playing in bands in Cornwall, said: “I’m so proud to be associated with Cornwall Pride – it looks like August 27 is going to be a wonderful and fun day. Have great time! Onwards and upwards.”

Cornwall Pride returns on August 27 for a full day of fun, frolics and entertainment with three events occurring throughout the day following the official opening by the Mayor of Truro, Rob Nolan, on Lemon Quay at 11am.
