Innuendo: Back to the Tapes – Event

|

There are still a few tickets up for grabs for Queen – Innuendo: Back to the Tapes on Saturday 30th September. Order tickets (£249) HERE

Innuendo - band at desk.

We are delighted to have 6 Music’s Matt Everitt confirmed to host the event. After your champagne reception, Matt will introduce the experience with Metropolis Studios CEO Richard Connell, before talking to Noel Haris and Justin Shirley-Smith about the history of Innuendo and their relationship with the band.

Noel and Justin will then go on to deconstruct tracks from Innuendo in Studio-A where the album was originally recorded including Innuendo, I’m Going Slightly Mad, These Are The Days Of Our Lives, The Show Must Go On and more if time allows. Their exclusive never-before-heard insight into the album production will feature multi-track playback of early-versions and out-takes with reference to original studio documents including track-sheets, recall-notes, and tape-boxes. They will also be recreating Freddie’s exact vocal recording setup. Before the canapés are served, you will also get the chance to put questions direct to Noel and Justin.

We will be hosting a little photography exhibition of work by the likes of Douglas Pudifoot, Koh Hasebe, Neal Preston and Simon Fowler in the A-Lounge, the very same room where the band got horizontal on the shelves in the Headlong video, a great photo-opportunity for any Queen fan.

There will be a little prize-draw at the event with a few great goodies to be claimed including the Queen Studio Collection vinyl box set, a few Roger Taylor signed albums and a beautiful limited edition bone china Innuendo tea set. And we are working on a few little extra surprises!

This event is not being filmed so the only way to experience it is to be there! Secure your place now and order your tickets here. All proceeds from the event go towards The Mercury Phoenix Trust – www.mercuryphoenixtrust.com
