BADGER CULL: BRIAN MAY & PETER KENDALL ON BBC BREAKFAST 09102013
– http://youtu.be/bwnQGnqzKJo

To address the issues regarding the shortfall of badger numbers killed in the 6-week period and the intention of DEFRA/NFU to extend by another 2 – 3 weeks, Brian appeared on BBC Breakfast to put the anti-cull stance.

Peter Kendall of the NFU was interviewed earlier, to ‘explain’ – somewhat unconvincingly – why he thinks the cull is being successful. Brian pointed out how ridiculous the situation had become and that the culling methods are experimental and numbers clearly not known. DEFRA should be vaccinating – they have already resorted to cage trapping before shooting, whereas cage trapping and vaccinating would bring about healthy badger population. DEFRA has been given clearance by the EU to embark on field trials towards cattle vaccination, which they have not deigned to start – simply wasting time.

From our Feedback: Barry Livingstone writes: This makes more sense than Peter Kendall [NFU].
