The UK Lingerie Awards 2013 in association with Fashion Forms will host a live auction of one of Brian May’s personal guitars that has been signed and donated in support of a new Breast Cancer Awareness charity campaign, Rock & Ribbon.
The guitar will be displayed all night at the event, and iPads will be provided for guests to begin making their bids, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the charity. Bidding will then continue via an online auction at rockandribbon.org for two weeks from December 4th to 17th, with the winner and final bid total announced online on December 18th at lingerieinsight.com.
The face of the campaign, supermodel Elle Liberachi, has been photographed with the guitar in a promotional shoot, in which she wears lingerie and fashion garments from Agent Provocateur, Fred & Ginger and Versace. Liberachi will attend the UK Lingerie Awards, which will be held on Wednesday evening at the Freemasons’ Hall in London, to further promote Rock & Ribbon.
Commenting on the charity auction she said: “I’m so thankful to Lingerie Insight for supporting my Rock & Ribbon campaign. The auction will start and the guitar will be on view at this year’s UK Lingerie Awards where all the UK’s lingerie brands come together for one night. Anyone in the world can bid for it.”
