Announcing the release, Brian says: “This is probably the fastest turnaround I’ve ever achieved – in terms of getting from a finished mix to a new song being ‘out there’ – but we’re rarin’ to go, and decided to dispense with the formalities and throw our new track out there without a backward look. This track is Art for Art’s sake. To me, it’s something I’m already proud of, with a magnificent vocal performance by Kerry Ellis, but also it has a crystal clear human message – ‘You have a voice … your voice CAN make a difference’.”

‘One Voice’ is a song written by Ruth Moody, co-founder of the Canadian music group, The Wailin’ Jennys. Ruth has personally given her approval for this new arrangement by Brian, and she is acknowledged in the credits thus: “We thank Ruth Moody most sincerely for giving us her blessing to re-present her beautiful song.”

Credits show drums by legendary Meat Loaf drummer, John Miceli, with all other instruments by Brian May, the producer of the track. Other credits: Co-produced and Engineered by Justin Shirley-Smith and Kris Fredriksson; Mastered by Kevin Metcalfe at The Soundmasters; Video concept by Brian May and Grigorij Richters; Lighting/Camera by Grigorij Richters, also post-production and editing; Shoot assisted and hosted by Denis Pellerin.

A regular vocal partner to Brian May in the recording studio and in live concerts, Kerry Ellis is a highly respected star of both the West End and Broadway, most recently starring as Grizabella in “Cats” at the London Palladium. Brian and Kerry are presently in the studio working towards an Anthems II album.
