Queen guitarist and animal rights campaigner Brian May has witnessed for the first time a cow condemned to death after a TB test.

May told Devon farmer Brian Huxtable he was “so sorry” that the valuable animal would have to be slaughtered.

The rock star campaigns against culling of badgers, an animal which has been blamed for spreading TB in cattle.
