She takes over the role of Yenta – the matchmaker in the village Anatevka, where this deeply moving story is set. Yes, it’s a musical, and there is warmth and joy and song. But the tragedy that befalls the honest folk of this village feels so real in this production by Trevor Nunn, well, you’d better take your handkerchief. It’s a killer.
