From Nasa Lucy Spacecraft

OK ! I’m not going to annotate this yet – except to say that this is the very first view from NASA’s LUCY mission spacecraft of a small solar system object which, as yet, no human eye has ever seen as anything but a point of light. On 20th April, that will change.

I hope to be there !

I’ll keep you folks posted ! More soon !

Colorado !! Snow !! LUCY !!! NASA Asteroid mission !! I’m here to take part in an encounter with an ASTEROID that has never been seen by human eyes. Wanna see how the scientists here are thinking it MIGHT look on Sunday when the fly-by happens ? I’ll show you (next post). Meanwhile I’m enjoying Historic Boulder Colorado in the snow !

I’m@at Lockheed Martin excitedly awaiting the moment when we know LUCY has reached the closest approach point to the Asteroid Donaldjohanson. In fact right now the encounter has already happened – because there is a 12 minute delay before we get this information back on Earth. Amazing !!
