On This Day in Queen History – 14 August

In 1971 – Queen played the NCOs’ Mess, RAF Culdrose, Culdrose, UK.
In 1979 – Queen were in the Shepperton Studios, Surrey, rehearsing for the Crazy Tour.
In 1980 – Queen played the Coliseum, Greensboro, North Carolina, USA.
In 1982 – Queen played Poplar Creek Music Theater, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, USA.
In 2012 – Brian May published the first Queen 3-D stereo card sets with live images from Queen tours. The first two series consisted of 12 cards plus two bonus cards for each set.

In 2014 – Queen + Adam Lambert nominated for “Band Of The Year” in Classic Rock Magazine “Classic Rock Roll Of Honour 2014”, Los Angeles. Nominated Band of the Year.

In 2015 – A press release announced return of “We Will Rock You” as an Australian national tour for 2016, again to be directed by Ben Elton.
