In 2015 – Freddie Mercury’s Official Birthday Party at Casino Barrière, Montreux, Switzerland – included the world premiere screening of the newly restored film of Queen’s Christmas Eve show, Hammersmith Odeon, London, 24.12.1975 screening. Also The world premiere of “Little Freddie Goes To School” single at the event, the song written by Irish composer, Stuart Leathem and sung by Irish classical singer, Esther Trousdale, with Freddie Mercury voice on the track from the “Barcelona” sessions, a mix of ‘When This Old Tired Body Wants To Sing’ (Late Night Jam) and ‘The Golden Boy’ (A Cappella).

In 2016 – In a press release, Brian May announced the International Astronomical Union had named an asteroid after Freddie Mercury. The “Asteroid 17473 Freddiemercury” was discovered in 1991 and named after Freddie for his 70th birthday.
In 2016 – The Hard Rock Cafe’s “Freddie For A Day” is celebrated worldwide.
