It’s Stereoscopy Day!
Enjoy a short 3D AV show (anaglyph) telling the story of Sir Brian May’s woodland, from planting to present day, and how it has become a Forever Home for wildlife.
During its tenth anniversary year, May’s Wood in Dorset was featured in a 3D film at the Stereoscopic Society’s Convention held in Telford on May17-19.
A Forever Home, created by society member, Linda Lamon, was one of the AV shows projected at the event and in it, Linda talks about her photographic journey with the woodland, from the planting day on September 28th 2013.
Planted with 101,000 native trees & shrubs, wildflower meadows and wild scrub over 157 acres, this beacon for biodiversity is now a safe haven and a Forever Home for wildlife.
You can view an anaglyph version in a 15-minute video on you-tube (link below) but you will need the special red and green 3D glasses to get the full stereo effect. Reds do not show up, unfortunately, which affects some of the lovely blossoms and flowers. However, you’ll see some full colour side by side 3D images here!
