The rock star is visiting Torbay to lend his backing to Lib Dem Adrian Sanders and Penzance where he will give support to Lib Dem candidate Andrew George.

Last month, May described Mr Sanders as “one of the few candidates who will act decently, transparently and accountably” in the run-up to the election.

The rock star launched a campaign in March aiming to encourage people to vote for candidates deemed ‘decent’, telling his followers that “no vote is wasted, no seat is safe”.
