Tired of complaining about the state of British politics? Feel demoralised and powerless? This evening is dedicated to those who are making a difference and have ideas and inspiration for those of us who want to know what we can do when faced with the daily barrage of despairing headlines.

Zoe Williams’ new book is a rousing call to arms for us all to play our part in creating a more equal society. Instead of sitting back and throwing up our hands there are things we can still do to make a difference. Hosting the evening she is joined by some of the most exciting campaigners and change makers in the UK.

David Babbs Executive Director of 38 degrees; Julia Groves Chief Executive of Trillion Fund, a crowd financing platform for renewable energy projects, Carys Afoko, Communications Director for Sum of Us and previously worked as advisor to Labour MP Lisa Nandy, Fran Boait, Executive Director of Positive Money which works to change how money is understood and creating a better banking system, and Brian May (of Queen) who has recently launched the Common Decency campaign.
