Halloween is just a memory – Japanese Queen in 3-D – Spinner toy

|

Halloween is just a memory – but we can keep on enjoying our little devilments.

This is actually one of the earliest modern Diableries – made to coincide with the launch of our FIRST edition of the book. It’s a wonderful example of the elevation of the art of diorama in 3-D to the level of the classic Still Life. It sets the bar very high. Made by a legendary couple – photographer Benoit and his lady, Kathy Malphettes – the three-dimensional composition and lighting set it apart, but also the body language of the skeletons and the dynamic between them make this, to me, a Pillar of Devilment !

Little devilments

A Zoom-in and then the parallel and cross-eyed versions – and then Mono. Enjoy ! And thanks B & K Malphettes.
