We Are The Champions – #MicroCon number 15 – TAKE 1

Brian May: We Are The Champions microcon #15 TAKE 1 (9 April 2020) improved

This is also a new invitation to #jamwithbri !!! I’ve been so amazed by the Jams you guys have put together on my previous MicroConcertinas I thought this might be the ultimate opportunity. It seems to me we should dedicate this one to all the front-line soldiers fighting for Humanity against the insurgent coronavirus. Just like our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents who fought for us in two world wars, those brave warriors in the front line are our new CHAMPIONS. That means the doctors, nurses, cleaners, porters, drivers, tea-ladies and gentlemen, and all who are quietly risking their lives daily to save the lives of our kin. CHAMPIONS ALL !!! Let’s do it ! Let me see your hands !!! And hear your voices !!!

There’s something else about this post that’s different from any of my previous micro-organisms. I wonder who will spot it. Must be a portent …

ah ! @gibsongas – you did spot it already !!!

Ah !! You ALL got it in one !! Ha ha – I shouldn’t underestimate you guys ! Well, I was excited to have the Red Lady in my hands again (suitably quarantined) – so an a-capella Champions seemed a good way to celebrate !

Thanks !

Over the rainbow – My dear friend Eren Mehmed sent me this little video last night. You might find it trite, but I found it resonated with a lot of the thoughts in my head right now.

The Story of 2020

Yes, we are in the midst of an almost unthinkable human tragedy, but I see so many good people ploughing new furroughs, and sowing the seeds of new ideas. I am coming to believe that the lessons learned in this unprecedented period may be the ones that ultimately save humanity, and save the planet and all its natural wonders as well.

Already, I find myself resistant to the idea of trying to put the world back to the way it was before this cataclysm happened. That will not be good enough. If I have any small influence at all, it will be to try to be one of the voices demanding we move not back, but forwards to a better world, a better responsibility towards each other and towards the natural world, and a complete rewrite of our priorities as a species.

Let’s Go !!!
