Well, APOLOGIES ! No NLC’s tonight, it seems. (The Noctilucent Clouds that I was advertising earlier!) if you stayed up and saw nothing, I take full responsibility – and I’ll understand if you never believe me again ! Unfortunately NLC’s are about as unpredictable as normal clouds ! But my dear friend Jamie Cooper who has seen many of them says it’s highly likely that we’ll see some this week, given clear skies.
This was the view from my roof coming up to 1 am tonight. If you zoom in you can see the familiar “W” shape of the constellation Cassiopeia rising in the North East, as she does at this time of year. But NLC’s ? Not this time.
