Just had to repost this epic first picture of the almost unimaginably huge black hole at the centre of our own Milky Way Galaxy. Stephen Hawking would love it !
It seems most spiral galaxies have a central supermassive black hole – which helps to stop the galaxies falling apart as they rotate. But how did they get there ?
