IN SUPPORT OF PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE ANDREW GEORGE

Common Decency

Parliamentary candidate for the West Cornwall and Isles of Scilly constituency of St Ives, Andrew George, will welcome Brian May, Queen guitarist and political campaigner, to Penzance tomorrow, Friday 17th April.

Dr May has set up a campaign organisation, ‘Common Decency’, to support politicians and candidates who stand up strongly against vested interests; for the less powerful; to protect and respect animals and wildlife, and to de-escalate the world from war. Dr May has long supported Mr George and his work on the environment, wildlife, social justice, the NHS and tax-dodging and his commitment to work across party divides.

Says Andrew George: “I’m delighted to welcome Brian to the constituency tomorrow – Common Decency is a brilliant campaign. Political Parties give the electorate a sense of the background colour of the candidate but we need to get rid of tribalism and work together for the common good.”

Dr May will speak in support of Mr George at a rally tomorrow at 12:30 pm at Penzance Cricket Club. Mr May will then meet with students at Penwith College.

– ENDS –

There will be a short media briefing at Penwith College after the rally. The press are invited both to the rally and the briefing. For more on Common Decency go to: www.commondecency.org.uk
