She may be under pressure as polling day looms, but Conservative Tracey Crouch is hoping Brian May can help her party declare “We are the champions” on May 7.

The Queen guitarist has pledged his support for the parliamentary candidate for Chatham and Aylesford, who has served as MP for the past five years. He will team up with Miss Crouch on Tuesday to visit Bradfields Academy in Walderslade.

Bradfields provides for children with Special Educational Needs with a designation of complex learning difficulties. Tracey is a regular visitor to the school and invited Dr May to attend and see how the school use music as part of their teaching. He will be given a tour of the academy and will then watch a music performance by the children.

The visit is part of Brian May’s Common Decency initiative. He endorses political candidates who he feels put principles at the heart of their politics and Tracey is one of those he is personally and financially supporting.
