A glimpse into my world ! This is what today’s Ant and Dec TV appearance (see my previous post) looked like from our end (last Thursday). Hand-held video capture on my iPhone by supertech Pete Malandrone – with just the sound in the room (well, actually the amp is in an adjacent room with the door almost shut – otherwise it would deafen us all ! That’s why this sound is quite ‘ambient’ – distant) . The actual sound for the programme transmission was recorded up in the studio at the other end of a long wire – by our brilliant Justin Shirley-Smith. You’ll have to imagine the backing track – unless some clever person out there can do a compilation ! Enjoy !
My ‘thump’ at the beginning is a marker – like a clap-board in the movies – so the sound and vision can be exactly synchronised. The shirt ? It’s a team shirt from the NASA New Horizons mission to fly-by Pluto – a precious piece of memorabilia for me.
