“Extra’s” Mark Wright sat down with Rami Malek, who plays Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
As for playing the iconic Queen frontman, Rami said, “I wanted to throw myself into it as deeply as I could. Flew to London and immersed myself in all things Freddie Mercury — took piano lessons, took singing lessons, worked with a movement coach, and tried to discover how and why he did everything that he did.”
Rami is already getting Oscar buzz for his performance. He joked, “If people appreciate this film and the performances are enough to start throwing awards at us, we’ll take them.”
Malek was joined by his co-stars Lucy Boynton, Joseph Mazzello, and Gwilym Lee.
“Bohemian Rhapsody” hits theaters November 2. (USA)
