GRANTHAM JOURNAL
15 February 2014
Time is running out for music fans who want to snap up the last few tickets for one of Grantham’s most eagerly awaited concerts.
The appearance at The Meres centre by Queen guitarist Brian May and singing star Kerry Ellis has virtually sold out, with fewer than 100 tickets left when the Journal went to press.
The Meres will provide an intimate setting for the candlight concert on Saturday. February 22, featuring stripped down versions of Queen classics, alongside a number of the duo’s favourite songs.
Paul Stokes, the district council’s head of community assets said: “We have worked extremely hard to establish Meres Live over the last few years and are very excited to have international superstar Brian May and Kerry Ellis come to Grantham, which will give us a platform to bring more top stars to the town.”
Tickets cost £39 on 01476 406158, or from guildhallartscentre.com
