What a great moment. Having lost many great friends over the years, I’m familiar with the way the happiest memories can become the saddest. But, these days, some of those treasured moments feel almost as tangible as current life.
Here we see a moment of jolliness after our show at the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville – on the left, my bro’ Rog, then Mr Loaf and me, then my dear pal Paul Crook, who produced Meat’s latter albums, played spectacular guitar for him on stage, and kindly sent me this pic.
Does it make you more happy or more sad ? Me ? In spite of the sadness of losing this awesome human being, I can’t help but smile. Those moments live on. And I feel lucky. Sometimes I need to remember how lucky I have been.
